Q – Haunted Shadows is located at Blue Sky Sports Center. Blue Sky has outdoor soccer fields, is the Lake Trail on a soccer field?
A – No. Blue Sky Sports Center consists of 171 acres of property that is adjacent to Lake Lewisville in The Colony. The main building hosts indoor soccer fields, a pro shop, concessions, locker rooms and meeting areas. Three outdoor soccer fields and parking lots are next to the indoor facility. There are acres and acres of wild, native North Texas woods and grasslands on the property that are ideal for Haunted Shadows Lake Trail. Once you purchase your ticket at the front desk you will be directed to the starting point for Haunted Shadows.

Q – Is it really scary?
A – Ultimately that is a decision that the paying customer will have to make, but face it, most people are scared of being outside in the dark woods. Because many scary features have been designed into the Haunted Shadows Lake Trail we believe that our guests who are looking for a scary Halloween season treat will not be disappointed.

Q – If Haunted Shadows is an outdoor operation, what about the weather?
A – Haunted Shadows plans to be open each weekend evening in October in all weather conditions except a torrential downpour. Come dressed for the conditions. If it is chilly, wear a jacket. If there is a light rain or showers, wear a wind breaker or poncho. If it is muddy, wear appropriate shoes.

Q – Do staff members serve as tour guides at Haunted Shadows? If not, is it possible to get lost?
A – Haunted Shadows Lake Trail is a self guided experience. Customers determine their own group size and group membership. Each group is given one flashlight to assist with visibility. The trail is well marked. In most cases leaving the trail would mean walking out into grass and weeds that are three feet tall. Guests cannot get lost as long as they stay on the marked trail.

Q – What is allowed and not allowed in Haunted Shadows?
A – The following are prohibited at Haunted Shadows Lake Trail
No smoking or lighters. (fire hazard)
No weapons, alcohol or illegal substances on the premises.
No cameras, video equipment, or flashlights (other than the one flashlight provided each group).
No sandals, flip flops, or high heels. Closed toed shoes suitable for walking in the woods and outdoors are required.
No pets.

You will not be struck or grabbed by any monsters or creatures, but you might be accidentally touched or bumped.

Haunted Shadows Lake Trail is not responsible for any broken or lost items.

We will not look for any lost cell phones, pagers, keys, etc. while Haunted Shadows Lake Trail is in operation. Items found will be placed in a lost and found at the front desk and can be retrieved on the next business day.

Q – What about rest rooms and concession?
A – Both are located in the main building at Blue Sky Sports Center.

Q – Is Haunted Shadows appropriate for small children?
A – It depends on the child, but in most cases, no. Haunted Shadows is a scary experience. Some children, and for that matter some adults, enjoy a good scary event while others do not. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
